Being exposed to music by a guitar-picking grandfather, it was quite natural for Dan to love it and he was playing his own instrument at an early age. He joined a local group, The Paffords, at age 15 and played bass guitar for them for many years. Today he also plays keyboards and likes to pick a little on the mandolin. He sings both lead and harmony vocal and likes to say, “I get any part that’s left over!” Dan is also the bus driver and mechanic. He is married to the former Jenny Joiner who also sings with the group and he works with the local power company. In his spare time, Dan likes to fish, hunt, raise cattle and farm. |
Coming from a large musical family, Jenny has been singing all her life. It was at a gospel sing that the Lord convicted her and she gave her heart and life to Jesus. Jenny met Dan through her family group and they were married in April 1990. They have one daughter, Macy Danielle who is 3 years old. They attend Flat Creek Baptist Church in Nashville, GA. She sings both lead and harmony vocals and maintains the group’s scheduling. Jenny is a medical office assistant with a local physician and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and helping Dan around the farm. |

Being sister to Jenny, music has always been a big part of Stacey’s life. She sings both lead and harmony vocals and maintains the secretarial duties of the group. Stacey traveled a few years with her family group, The Paffords, singing lead and harmony. She also attends Flat Creek Baptist Church with her family. Stacey is a registered nurse and currently works with the school system in Cook County where she resides. She enjoys reading, cooking, family time, traveling and also helps Dan maintain their cattle program. |
Being raised a pastor’s son and as part of a singing family, Deran was destined to become part of a ministry. He became the drummer for New Tradition in his early teens and except for a short break due a job change, has been with the group for 15 years. Deran currently sings bass, plays the upright bass, and drives the bus. He is married to the former Darlene Blanchard and they have one daughter, Darcy Reese, who is two years old. Deran and his family are members of Flat Creek Baptist in Nashville, GA. He is computer technician at a personal care home. In his spare time, Deran enjoys fishing, hunting, raising cattle and farming. |
